Q. Can I try this before buying?
Yes, you could download our Edition from the website and check the features, Trial period would be valid for 50 Timesheet entries, post that you would not be able to enter any new timesheet details, but can view the data entered. You could purchase license and continue using the same data.
Q. Would data entered in trial edition be upgraded to license edition?
Yes, data entered in Time Tracker can be upgraded to license edition.
Q. Would trial Edition have limited features as compared to license edition?
No, trial edition would have all the features of license but with data lock of 50 Timesheets entries
Q. Is there any support provided during trial period?
Yes, we would be happy to help you during your trial or evaluation period you can drop a mail at trial@spinso.com.
Q. Do I need to register or fill a form to try Time Tracker?
No, you can download the application from our website and start using it. The application would have a default trial login and password.

Q. Do I need to enter the task as it completes or can I do this end of day?
You can enter task at the end of the day.
Q. Will system allow me to enter back dated task if forgot to enter them?
Your system administrator can control the time sheet enter to allow back dated entry. If you have the rights to enter back dated entry you can do so.
Else you can also put a “Forgot Timesheet” to your reporting manager once the preorting manager approves the request you can enter the back dated entry.
Q. Can I attach document to my task?
Yes, document attachment is provided at multiple level, hence you can not only attach document for the task but also can attach it for the day.
Q. How many documents can I attach?
There is no limitation to attaching the document, you can attach multiple documents
Q. what are the document types supported in the attachment?
There is no restriction for the document type, you can attach any document like doc, xls , pdf , bmp etc…
Q. Can I change the Time sheet once this is submitted for approval?
No, once you submit you time sheet, the time sheet is locked. If your approver rejects it then you can change it.
Q. Can I Submit my time sheet for a week or does it support for only month?
You have an option to select the date range to submit your time sheet, so you can do this for 1 week , 1 month , or for any date range.
Q. Do I need to take approval for every leave?
No, Leaves can be configured as per its type.
Eg.
Sick leave : does not need authorization
Privilege leave : needs authorization
This means for privilege leave you need to submit the leave request and take approval.
Q. Would system prompt me incase I have forgot to fill time sheet?
For the day you have not filled time sheet the calendar in the menu option
“My --> Time Sheet --> details” would be appear non bold and for entered time sheet it would be bold.
While submitting your time sheet system would prompt you for non entry, and corrective action can be taken.
Q. would I see all the project/Task for the organization or specific to me?
Project/Task that are related to you only would be visible, this can be set by your system administrator.
Q can I attach reference document to expense/voucher?
Yes, you can attach multiple document to expense.
Q can I tag expense to a project or task?
Yes, have an option to tag expense to project or task, this is a non mandatory field.
Q. would I get pop up message if my time sheet is rejected?
Yes , system would remind you at login for your rejection for Timesheet, expense , leave etc.
Q. would I be able to see quick summary of the task that I would last week/month?
Yes, Menu option “My --> MIS” will give your task, project, expense summary in graphical format along with percentage.
Q. What is the difference between Project Manager & Reporting manager?
Project Manage is the owner of the project and would be able to view teams times sheet. He can also add work for the project assigned to him.
Reporting manger has the authority to approve/reject employee request for time sheet, expense, leave , forgot timesheet etc. Reporting manager is tagged to an employee.
Please note : reporting manger and project manger can be same in some/all cases
Q. What is Edition?
Time Tracker is available in various editions to suite your business needs, each edition has set of features hence giving you a wider choice to choose from. You can start from Time Tracker lower edition and upgrade to higher edition.
Please note: Edition upgrade is a paid service.

Time Tracker My Edition: This is entry level edition focused for individuals, who can enter there time sheet. This does not support multi user

Q. What is version?
Version is the current release of the Time Tracker in the following example 2011 & 2011 indicates year of release and R1.0 and R2.0 indicates Release number. Check your version number to ensure you are using the latest version of Time Tracker. During AMC period you are entitled to get free version upgrade.

Q. Can I view Time sheet of the employee reporting to me?
Yes, you can view time sheet of your team from the following menu option
Reporting Manager --> Time Sheet --> Details
And also you can view the summary of the month in
Reporting Manager --> Time Sheet --> Month view
Q. Can I reject time sheet for few selected days from monthly submission?
Yes, you can reject time sheet for selected days and your team member would be able to modify for only selected days before resubmitting for approval.
Q. Can I view the Document attached along with expense?
Yes, you can view the documents, before approval.

Yes, you can assign menu /screen rights to profile and this profile can be mapped to login users.
Q. Can I give different rights to different users?
Yes, you can create profiles and assign rights to various screens, this profile can be attached to employee.
Licensing policy
Q. Do I need to buy license for every user?
Yes, Time Tracker support user based licensing policy. This means if you go for 10 user license you would be able to create 10 Employees and need to purchase addition user to add more.
Q. Do I need to buy license for every pc?
No, Time tracker supports user based licensing policy, hence you can install on multiple pc as per your choice.
Installation
Q. Is this application web based?
No, Time Tracker is built on client server technology, and would be installed in your network; hence this is more secured in terms of data security as compared with the web based applications.
Q. Do I need to install application on every PC to use?
Yes, Time Tracker setup needs to be installed on all the pc’s.
Q. I see 2 setup folders, Server and client?

Q. Is it compulsory to take AMC (Annual maintenance contract)?
No, AMC is not compulsory; however we would strongly recommend going for AMC as with AMC you would get free support and upgrade.
Q. What is the support provided?
All our software comes with standard AMC, this means you would get free Email, Telephone and Email support along with 1 year free version upgrades
